As part of the sixth generation of the Guerlain perfume and cosmetics dynasty, Marie Guerlain was born in Paris and raised in London and Switzerland.
Marie is an artist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur who has a no compromise attitude when it comes to business, and it was this attitude that sparked the initial inspiration for her debut lifestyle brand, Ondine.
Born out of a passion for food in all of its manifestations, the Ondine cookware range is the epitome of luxury lifestyle, combining the art of cooking and the aspiration for aesthetical homeware.
Marie’s genuine affinity with food is deep-rooted in her French upbringing. It was there that Marie became familiar with the integral part that the kitchen plays in family life, learning skills that would shape her own lifestyle in later years. “La cuisine” continues to be at the heart of Marie’s home, and this is where her journey to Ondine truly began.
Art as an influence
Marie studied art at Chelsea College of Art in London, and Parsons School of Design in New York, and exhibited in the sophisticated destinations Adam Street, Bond Street and Cork Street, London. The unique, signature style of Marie Guerlain, comprising geometric shapes and clean lines, translates seamlessly from canvas to her luxury cookware, Ondine. The aesthetic principles of Ondine can be accounted to Marie’s own artistic expertise.
Passion for helping others
"Marie also harbours a huge passion for causes that are very close to her heart. As a humanitarian, she has taken active roles in supporting children’s welfare, environment
conservation and sustainability".
"Marie is also a qualified Nutrition Health Coach at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), an organization founded in 1992 by Joshua Rosenthal, which is now the largest nutrition school in the world. It is this passion for wellness, which closes the circle on reasons behind the creation of Ondine".
